In the mean time…

In the mean time…

In the mean time…

Guess I shouldn’t start a blog one week and neglect it the next! My hubby made it safely home from his trip so my free time in the evenings has been greatly reduced. My apologies to anyone actually interested in my goings on.

This week has been full, complete with my birthday, dentist appointments for the boys, a visit from my dad and stepmom, and later this morning we get our biometric screening done for immigration approval! Woohoo! Oh, and I decided to paint the boys bunkbeds, who does that? Between homeschooling, laundry, working, baseball practice, etc this little project may take 132 days to complete!! For those considering a similar task, don’t do it, especially not a bed with a stairwell and storage drawers instead of the standard ladder. And the paints that swear they only need one coat are liars, even with primer! Just sayin’…

The dreaded bunkbed…
I’ll post news as I get it and plan to share more this weekend. This all means we’re one step closer to our daughter! In the mean time, check out my friend’s new website. They’ve started an amazing adoption ministry. So cool to see God use ordinary people to do amazing things!!

Touch the Sky is working to support the adoption of a girl who was previously advocated by the name Tamarix. She is a bright, beautiful 12 year old little girl from Xi'an China who is deaf. She loves to draw and the orphanage director says she often draws picture of a family. She very much wants to be adopted and wants a family desperately.  Go to their page to learn how you can donate or buy a t-shirt/tote bag to support a grant that will allow a family to bring her home.
